We Empower Women Looking To Reboot Their Careers Through A Strong Network of Allies

Her Allies knows that a good professional network helps everyone land that next job and women who have been out of the job market often lack current networks.

We connect women re-entering the workforce with a network of allies and offer them the support and necessary resources they need to succeed!

  • Over 61% of women face significant challenges when trying to re-enter the workforce.

  • According to the recent McKinsey Women in the Workplace report, the COVID-19 crisis could set women back half a decade.

  • Fewer women (9%) make it to leadership positions because of  breaks and the inability to get their careers back on track.

Programs

  • A four-month program to help women prepare their strategy to relaunch their career.

  • Workshops and events that provide reskilling, upskilling, and job application skills.

Have An Impact

  • "Working with Her Allies gave me more insight into how much experience is out there from women who've taken breaks and how much they have to add to a role. As someone starting a family, it expands your idea of what's possible. It gives you more agency to make decisions for yourself, rather than letting fear of losing out on a career stop you...The program gave me the tools and confidence to make my way to my current role. I hope to pay it forward when the time is right."

    Daniela, Her Allies Cohort Mentee

  • “Knowing that Her Allies is always there for me and that the workshops are continuing gives me the confidence that I can keep brushing up. I always recommend the program to people from the medical coding goup I belong to, especially the ones just starting out in the field. I am very thankful to my mentors Shelly and Margaret, who are highly skilled at what they do and always available when I need them.”

    Stacy, Her Allies Cohort Mentee

  • "This is a life-changing volunteer opportunity because you get to share a special bond with someone to change their career trajectory by opening new doors for them. Supporting another woman through career disruptions to ultimately land a position of power is a big step forward in achieving workplace gender equality."

    — Joyce, Her Allies Volunteer

  • "Just jump in and don't overthink it. Know you can help someone in whatever capacity, and take a chance to help others. I've come through the program myself, so I know what it's like. Now I'm diving in headfirst to help as many people as I can."

    — Tessa, Former Mentee & Her Allies Programs Committee Lead

  • “I understand how important a support system can be in addressing those struggles. Throughout my career, I’ve supported and developed various programs to combat the systemic issues that can make it more difficult for women in the workplace. When the opportunity arose to support women specifically through programs and allyship, I was excited to be able to be helpful to more people,”

    — Vicki, Her Allies Co-Founder and Vice Chair

  • “Regardless of your background, you have the chance to help. From recruiters to managers to those who have navigated layoffs themselves, every experience brings value...We forget the impact t’s easy to get caught up in being busy but volunteering reminds me what really matters. Giving back to my community is energizing and deeply nourishing.”

Becky, Her Allies Mentor and Programs Committee Member

  • "The period of in-between is hard and often misinterpreted. People need community in those moments. That's what draws me to this work. I understand the position of going back to the workforce after not working for a while."

    Revital, Her Allies Mentor

  • "What makes my experience with Her Allies stand out is the deep, genuine connection formed with women navigating pivotal career moments. The combination of practical skill-building and heartfelt encouragement creates a space where women feel seen, supported, and empowered — and being part of that transformation is truly special."

    Shelly, Her Allies Mentor

  • "My experience with Her Allies reinforces that we are more alike than we are different. Our shared experiences prove that we are better together than separate, as we navigate corporate spaces and life events. We can grow stronger, move farther, and uplift higher when we work together rather than compete and compare."

    Zakiya, Her Allies Mentor

  • "I was drawn to Her Allies through the recommendation of a mutual friend (Her Allies Comms Volunteer, Liz Miller),” Nancy shares. “I believe in the power of stories, especially the messy, beautiful, evolving kind. I’ve had a non-linear career and wanted to create space for others to see value in their twists and turns.”

    Nancy, Her Allies Mentor

  • "Knowing there exists an organization focused on women in this challenging position to re-enter the workforce is great. It let me know I wasn’t alone, and there were women that had been through it, and we're put on the other side in the workforce was inspiring."
