Her Allies is a digital network of women supporting other women through networking during the challenging phase of applying for jobs and returning to work and mentorship.
As a volunteer, you can add your insights digitally, recommend jobs available at your company, and offer support when you see someone with a need that applies to you.

Ways to volunteer
There are lots of ways to volunteer. Depending on the time you have available and your expertise, we can use your support. Your time and support can help other women return to work. The great thing about volunteering with us is that we offer flexibility. Our volunteers are predominately remote and can work around your availability.
PROGRAM VOLUNTEER
Our program volunteers are members of the Her Allies support system.
We are looking for people who can volunteer and assist in the following areas:
Resume Reviewers - Offer feedback on resumes and help to better align skills with positions.
Mock Interviewers - Offer live sessions to support job seekers in the interview process
HR Coaches - Share expertise during Her Allies events and support with job applications and advising on HR topics.
Subject Matter Experts - Teach their expertise and share insights in a presentation or through videos to the group.
Mentors - Support job seekers through coaching sessions and interview prep. This includes monthly live sessions with mentees for the hours the mentor is available. We request at least 2 hours a month and a minimum of 3 months.
Networkers - Network leaders engage the group through posts in a Facebook group or message board and offer check-ins with women through text or phone calls (participants opt in or out of wanting these) so women in the network feel supported. This is an ongoing virtual cheerleading role, with regular small contributions weekly.

COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER
We need every bit of help we can get to make this organization work. If you believe in our cause, we would love for you to join one of our committees as a more involved contributor to define the direction of our organization.
The committees we are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:
Marketing
Fundraising
Finance
Her Allies Event Programs
Committee Volunteers - Participate in a larger role in the organization. These volunteers agree to help with the organization of volunteers, marketing, finance, donations, etc. This includes regular weekly meetings and project commitments.
This can be a great way to get back into the swing of things as you may be looking for work.
Event Volunteers - These volunteers help a project to ensure its success. They help organize, plan, and set up specific in-person events. These volunteer opportunities are project-based.
